Ewa Partum

Ewa Partum is a precursor of conceptual and feminist art. She has created performances, activities in public space, experimental films, and visual poetry. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz (1963-65) according to the curriculum developed by Władysław Strzemiński, then from 1965 until1970 at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. From 1972 until 1977 led in Lodz her own Gallery Address, which staged conceptual art and, among others, documentation of the work of Fluxus artists. Since 1983 lives and works in Berlin.
