Zbigniew Warpechowski (b. 1938) 

Polish artist, poet, performer. One of the co-founders of the international group The Black Market, whose members pioneered performance art. Organiser of the Symposium of Poetic Realities devoted to the poetic origins of action art (Adina Bar-On, Phillipe Castellin, Eugenio Miccini, Ewa Zarzycka). His work is characterised by processuality, interactive form and a focus on corporeality as a medium. His current performances are heavily critical of contemporary consumer culture, media domination, postmodernism and moral liberalism.
